Neues zum Thema Musik-Downloads
Laut Bitcom ist der Markt gewachsen, wird Zeit, daß auch die Musikindustrie erkennt das gute Musik auch gekauft wird.
Auch Trent Reznor geht mit dem aktuellen Nine Inch Nails-Album diesen Weg der Vermarktung, die Preise sehe ich als richtungsweisend an:
Wer Ghost I-IV haben möchte, kann das gesamte Album für 5,- US-Dollar von der Band kaufen und hat die Wahl zwischen MP3s, FLAC und Apple Lossless Encoding. Neben dem rein digitalen Vertrieb bietet die Band für Fans auch physische Datenträger an. Das 2-CD-Set im Digipak mit 16-seitigem Booklet erscheint am 18. April 2008 und kostet 10,- US-Dollar. Wer das CD-Set vorbestellt, erhält zudem den Download-Link für das gesamte Album zugeschickt.
Ab 1. Mai werden zudem zwei Deluxe Editions angeboten. Die normale Deluxe Edition kostet 75,- US-Dollar (zwei CDs, eine DVD, eine Blu-ray) und die limitierte Deluxe-Edition 300,- US-Dollar und beinhaltet zusätzlich vier Vinyl-Scheiben des Albums. Außerdem hinterlässt Trent Reznor, der Frontmann der Band, sein Autogramm auf der Verpackung.
Da kann man nun ja wohl überhaupt nicht meckern!!!
Das Album gibt es auch auf den bekannten Torrent-Seiten, deren Nutzung von der Band ausdrücklich unterstützt wird.

Aufsuchen müßt ihr die Seiten aber schon selbst, da ich grad nicht weiß ob es nicht in .de verboten ist, auf Torrent-Seiten zu verlinken?
